The Co-organizers list is provisional and updated on April 18th, 2019. Others Co-organizers will be added, accordingly to the progress of event organization.

Special thanks for your interest in

NanoInnovation 2019

The 2019 edition of NanoInnovation, Conference and Exhibition is over. The organizers, AIRI and NanoItaly Association, want to express their warm thanks to all participants who made NanoInnovation 2019 a successful event.

The Event has seen the presence of more than 1.200 participants, who accepted the invitation to join us.

The conference symposia have been proposed and organized by 29 co-organizers, whose contribution is warmly acknowledged. They fully understood and interpreted at the best the bottom-up principle, which is traditionally the structuring method of our Event.

We are particularly indebted with all the colleagues participating in the scientific symposia, starting from more than 50 chairpersons who managed at the best the dense programme of NanoInnovation, including:  2 opening sessions2 plenary sessions46 technical thematic symposia3 poster sessions3 prizes, 5 multi-sessions workshops, 3 satellite events, 1 round table and 5 joint events, in particular:

  • Open infrastructures for research: an innovative approach supported by Regione Lazio
  • Electron Microscopy School
  • Open Innovation and Open Science: La situazione italiana
  • Nanomateriali e Nanotecnologie: update training organized in collaboration with Ordine degli Ingegneri della Provincia di Roma
  • School on Silicon Micro and Nano Technologies

The contribution of more than 350 speakers who shared with us their knowledge and expertise, filling of interesting contents the scientific program, is gratefully acknowledged.

We warmly thank the 28 exhibitors, the 10 industrial and scientific supporters and the 5 institutional and scientific patronages, whose contribution helped in keeping NanoInnovation an open event with free access for all people interested in nano-bio-technologies.

Our deepest appreciation to Sapienza University of Rome for the kind hospitality, support and contribution; we are particularly grateful to the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering (ICI) for allowing the access to the Renaissance Cloister and to all Congress and Exhibition areas, and to the Department of Basic and Applied Sciences for Engineering (SBAI) for the support during the preparation of NanoInnovation 2019.

We are also indebted with: The Agency for the Promotion of European Research (APRE) for organizing the networking event with more than 96 B2B meetings organized;

The Italian Trade Agency (ITA), that supporting the invitation of a delegation from Iran, Israel, Poland, Russia and South Korea.

Fondazione Bracco for supporting “NanoInnovation’s Got Talent” reserved to young researchers on nanotechnology (<35 years old).

Owing to the numerous participations and to the great deal of dedication by speakers, exhibitors, supporters and organizers, NanoInnovation 2019 has been a very active meeting opportunity for entrepreneurs, academics, researchers, managers, students and investors. The overview of the nanotech world offered by this Event will certainly support and encourage the dialogue among the different protagonists contributing to build an integrated community, active and cooperating in the field of micro and nanotechnologies.

Save the date

Following the success of the previous three editions, the promoting organizations Italian Association for Industrial Research (AIRI) and NanoItaly Association are delighted to announce:

NanoInnovation 2019, June 11 – 14, Rome

which will be held in the traditional venue of the Renaissance Cloister by Sangallo at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering of “Sapienza” University of Rome in Via Eudossiana 18.

NanoInnovation is the national meeting place for the wide and multidisciplinary community involved in the development of nanotechnologies and their integration with other key enabling technologies (KETs), in all application fields. The event is designed to inform all interested players:

  • Researchers, technologists, managers, entrepreneurs and investors can share their experiences, opinions and expectations about the role of nanotechnologies for future innovations
  • Professionals and business operators can better understand how to take advantage from the use and application of nano-related products.
  • Young researchers, PhDs and students, can gather latest insights on scientific and technical developments in nanotechnologies
  • Media and the public can have an overview of concrete and up-to-date applications of nanotechnologies

The past 2018 edition is just over with the following numbers: more than 1.200 participants26 co-organizers23 exhibitors17 industrial and scientific supporter1 corporate partner, more than 400 speakers and chairs, 3 plenary sessions5 tutorial lectures11 international keynote lectures62 technical thematic symposia2 special sessions5 multi-session workshops2 satellite events, 3 poster sessions, 2 prize for young researchers and 93 B2B meetings successfully organized.

Several participation opportunities are already available, ranging from a booth in the exhibition area to the direct organization of thematic symposia, to disseminate original and innovative research results.

The organization will follow the well-established tradition with several co-organizers sharing the coordination of technical-scientific symposia and satellite events, hosting the discussion of scientific themes and where novel applications and products, new tools and equipment, projects results will be presented and disseminated.

The participation is free for all participants, upon registration on the conference website.

The structure of the four days event ill include:

  • Plenary Sessions (with the presence of national and international experts and personalities)
  • Parallel thematic symposia (poster or oral presentations on selected topics)
  • Update trainings
  • Tutorial lectures (to get knowledge and expertise on the treated topics)
  • Networking event (to directly connect operators active in research and innovation and interested to cooperation opportunities - R2B, B2B)
  • Satellite events (independently organized by external organizations/companies and armonized in the conference frame)
  • Exhibition area, with the presence of companies, universities and research centres, where producers can provide detailed information on the most innovative products of the nanotech world and researchers can illustrate to companies the results of their research.

The conference organization and programme are overseen by Four Committees, including acknowledged experts from the scientific and industrial communities:

  • Organizing Committee
